Monday Mixup#8

I’ve been lazy on new posts lately but i try to keep the MM active at least.

We have a great set from PHON.O from which i already shared his remix of Robot Koch two weeks ago. There is some of his exclusive tracks in it like his upcoming remix of Modeselektor’s Cash and also brand new tracks… The tracklist goes from techno to Uk funky to dubstep, a really fresh mix!

Focus on two upcoming and very promising producers on this MM#7.

We have a live pa (this is becoming rare nowadays) of Egyptrixx. He comes from Toronto and already signed a few massive releases like Just Say Really. It’s not really house, it’s not really uk-funky, it’s two steps forward these genres in fact… Be sure to follow him in 2010, he will be releasing on the brand new and already legendary imprint: Night Slugs. This liveset was recorded last week in Toronto at the Wrongbar :

Usually i don’t share this kind of tracks, i like to keep them selfishly as secret weapons. But when a track brings so much emotions and raw energy it’s hard to sleep on it. For those who don’t know him, PHON.O aka Carsten Aermes is a Berliner producer member of the CLP outfit with his partner Chris de Luca… This track sounds like if Joy Orbison came from Berlin he could have made this remix…
