DZ is a Canadian dubstep producer living in San Francisco. In the scene since more than 15 years this brilliant dj and producer is finally getting rewarded for his work since last year. I’ve known him thanks to the smashers Down and Dirt Rave. He just did an excellent remix of Major Lazer’s Hold The Line that you can get below together with two bootlegs he also did:

Major Lazer – Hold The Line (DZ dubstep remix)

Chase & Status – Eastern Jam (DZ bootleg)

Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb (DZ vs Rastatronics bootleg)

This only happens in Belgium…

Teen sues after claims she nodded off during tattooing left 56 star tattoos on face

The 18-year-old, who is now suing the body artist for £8,500, said: “I can’t go out on the street. I am so embarrassed. I look horrible.”

Kimberley says she nodded off during the lengthy and painful procedure and awoke to “the nightmare” of 56 stars across her face.

But tattoo artist Rouslan Toumaniantz denies her allegations. He says she only complained after her father “threw a fit” and her boyfriend threatened to dump her.

Kimberley, of Courtrai in Belgium, claimed the Romanian tattooist had failed to understand her French and English. She said: “I explicitly said in my native tongue, French, and also in a little bit of English when he looked confused, that I wanted three little stars only near my left eye.”

But Mr Toumaniantz said he knew exactly what she wanted. He added: “She was awake and looked into the mirror several times as the procedure was taking place.

“The trouble all started when she went home and her father and boyfriend threw a fit. They are saying things now like I doped her or hypnotised her. What rubbish. She asked for 56 stars and that’s what she got.”

Kimberley has launched the civil action, seeking money for tattoo removal surgery.

Mashup movie: Sex Galaxy

Posted in Movies on June 17, 2009 by thezombiesnakecharmer

We already knew the mashups in music thanks to the 2Many Dj’s… Now we also have mashup movies. Sex Galaxy was indeed created with bits of old porn, sci-fi and other weird movies. And all of this is legit because the director, Mike Davis, chose in his collection of b-movies the ones that weren’t really copyrighted back in the days. Sex Galaxy recycles different parts of b-movies to make a new one with new dialogs. You can imagine that the result is quite burlesque. This movie was screened at Another Hole In The Head festival in San Francisco last week, but unfortunately no news yet for other screenings. The b-movies lovers maybe already know Mike Davis who also wrote and produced Pervert!: a kind of tribute to Russ Meyer’s movies with the porn actress (who ran for the California governor) Mary Carey

L-Vis 1990

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on June 12, 2009 by thezombiesnakecharmer

Mad Decent are doing big things lately, while we still await the Major Lazer album (out in the end of June) they just announced the release of an ep of L-Vis 1990. There is a kind of hype around him since a few months and i finally understand why. His first ep 1990 wasn’t really impressive (excepted the Mr Wobble track), but this United Groove ep just blows!

Check the video from United Groove out now on Mad Decent:
