Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on October 27, 2009 by thezombiesnakecharmer

Just came across this crazy mashup between El General and L-Vis 1990 (from his Dress 2 Sweat release) and i had to share it, this is pure heat!

Another mashup i found, made by Belgian bass activist Dj Mellow, between Schlachthofbronx and The Body Snatchers:

The Black Album

Dj Mehdi releases this mixtape as a prelude to his Red Black And Blue compilation. All the tracks in this mix are Mehdi remixes that couldn’t make the final cut. They were either refused by the labels or dismissed for copyright infrigement…  Luckily we find them all here in this mix. It would have been a shame to miss some of these gems like the remixes of Mapei or Just Jack or Busta Rhymes… Well almost every single track of this mix is gold. It’s strange i feel this way because i’m not usually a fan of Mehdi’s work, but this definitely does it for me.

Monday mixup #3

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on October 12, 2009 by thezombiesnakecharmer

I’ve got two mixes for you on this Monday. One by the devil himself: Mix Hell (former drummer of Sepultura). He brings us a doombox mixtape, black metal meets electro! The intro of the mix (which lasts almost 5 minutes) makes itself the set worth downloading… via Crookers’ blog

dl: Mix Hell – Doombox mixtape 2009

And as this doombox mixtape is quite short, here is the new mix by Dj in a jungle jazz style…

Focus on an upcoming electro label today. Paranoiak is a brand new French imprint with the full support of the almighty Citizen Records.

Star Guitar (from Belgium) has been designated to be the first release which is due to be available soon… The rest of the Paranoiak roster features Kissed With A Noise, Major Minor, The Blister Boyz and the really promising Fouck Brothers from which i already talked last year (keep an eye on them!)

In the meantime you can already listen to these great remixes by The Blister Boys and Star Guitar:

Michael Jackson – Beat It (The Blisters Boyz Remix)

Phoenix – Lisztomania (Star Guitar Remix)

Metric – The Police and the Private (Star Guitar Remix)

Pacific Steppaz

Can’t get enough of this track, on heavy rotation since a few weeks, so addictive!  Coming from a little (paradisiac) island called Vanuatu, located in the South-Pacific ocean, the Pacific Steppaz are a duo influenced by UK and Miami bass… Only Two tracks are available at the moment, let’s hope for more.

Djub massive riddims

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on October 6, 2009 by thezombiesnakecharmer

Focus on an upcoming producer from my town today. Djub comes indeed from the dirty Borinage and likes raw rhythms and dirty basslines. His influences come from baltimore club music and ghetto-tech. You’ll feel it when listening to these two bangers by him:

Crime Mob – Stilettos Pump (Djub unofficial remix)

Djub – Massive Rythm

Play these loud!
